St Simon Racing– “This is the first time in ages that I feel I have no hope in hell to be among the front runners at the business end of a race. He was bought as last resort, after I failed to buy anything decent at the start of the season. He will most likely be on the chopping block after this race. Crowsrock has “Usain Bolt” running for him, and he will be hard to beat (unless he pulls a hamstring). Manor Park Stud, you can never discount in any race, he will be right there. I make those two the ones to beat. “
Speed Breed – “Annette Chalkie will be lucky to finish in the top 5. But as they say, you can’t win if you don’t play – so you never know.”
trouble racing – “1200 will be a bit of a stretch for my runner despite her recent good form. Punters should look elsewhere.”
alex park – “The race looks a one horse affair the Addie Over Sofa wins for fun. I believe Nowra Bush Missy runs the que and take your pick for third unfortunately it wont be my bloke he still very weak I’m just hoping he goes a nice race.”
Fitzy’s Racing Club – “Will be interesting, after finishing 5th in the heat, being a mud/lark was happy when i first saw a slow track but confidence is waning now, track at dead, all I can hope for is a place.”
regalroller – “Addie Over Sofa belted everyone in the breeder sprint and seems hard to beat here. One of the first times I’ve remembered to check for invites has paid off with a good gate so hopefully that provides some improvement. Haven’t had any real success with 2yo’s and with a first time jockey up it’s not certain to change here.”
Addictive Racing – What a race this should be. Some top horse and trainers here. Prep couldn’t of been any better for AO Sofa, terrific run in winning the Breeders and has been tearing the Training Track up. Manor and Captain the biggest threats but still confident with my chances.”
JamesBrown – “The Golden Slipper is always a bit of a lottery and I have not got a good draw but it is always a fun race. Anything could happen.”
Sinthville – “Sweet Caveats, the virtual son of Sweet Caviar.. ahh how lovely. Male jockey already has the alarm bells ringing, the ground hopefully will be on the right side of OK. Away from the barrier, phew. So what is he up against? just the normal big players and Manor.. Caveats is unstyled, doesn’t brush his hair, dirty shoes, a real charmer. Funnily enough, he has a bit of speed, 60kmm/h on good, forget the other outing on worse ground. He does have something to prove though and wants to make the family name Sweet again… which will no doubt be on another occasion. He did say, `If you aint in it`….”
Kiwi Racing – “Have to forget the last run that Dirty White Boy had, as had no RI’s. However matching it with the likes of Addie Over Sofa (The one to Beat) will be a big task. I did like the run of Love And Theft in the Prelude, and will be the main danger, can’t leave out Captain’s Bishop as a chance either.”
Manor Park Stud – “Come into the race hoping to get a bit closer to crows runner after the BC sprint demolition. Been working hard to balance the stats out a bit better, had hoped for a pop in xp with training but wasn’t to be. Captains runner also looks like a strong contender. The likes of Alex can’t be ruled out either. Expect a great race! Good luck to all.”
