The Aussie Clothing Down Under Sprint – 27th August 2016 – Sydney Harbour Racecourse

The Aussie Clothing Down Under Sprint

Be With Da Gav Today

The weather in Australia this weekend could play a big part in the results of the Aussie Down Under Clothing Sprint. Early weather reports suggest that the conditions could be dead or slow, if slow, there may well be an upset with ghanainternational and DR stables both fielding mudlarks on the day – preference is for ghana’s Hilikus Redskin but DR Stable’s have been in red hot cup for this season and can never be discounted.
If the weather goes dead as expected, it’s hard to look further than Rafindale’s Dante’s Anger – the competitive mare has outstanding form and will be very tough to beat. Of the other’s, Invicta Racing’s Jack Hammer could well make his presence felt at the business end.

1. Copenhagen

5yo mare from Double U Stables, Career earnings: $1,497,644
Overall rating: Excellent(62) – Competitive

Stable comments: – “No chance. Imbalance in the game means a stable like mine cannot compete with those that have far better xp on their horses. It’s impossible.”

2. Bahamas

5yo stallion from Riddley Walker Racin, Career earnings: $2,907,504
Overall rating: Excellent(63) – Competitive

Stable comments: – “Bahamas is a chance in the final although was disappointed in his last quarter in the heats. Didn’t finish it off, will get a change of race instructions. Dante’s Anger the likely winner. A competitive race with competitive styles everywhere!”

3. Backinblack

5yo stallion from Sin666, Career earnings: $288,400
Overall rating: Excellent(64) – Fast finisher

Stable comments: – “

4. Hilikus Redskin

5yo stallion from ghanainternational, Career earnings: $1,329,350
Overall rating: Excellent(61) – Mud-lark

Stable comments: – ” I would be very surprised if Hilikis Redskin wins, he’s a decent horse but needs it very heavy to have any chance. I think Dante’s Anger is the one to beat.”

5. Type Darkest Arial

5yo stallion from DR Stables, Career earnings: $1,888,318
Overall rating: Reasonable(51) – Mud-lark

Stable comments: – “Type Darkest Arial has nothing going for him entering this race. Very low rated horse with average experience in sprints. The race looks to be wide open and several horses have a chance to win.”

6. Jack Hammer

5yo stallion from Invicta Racing, Career earnings: $1,412,400
Overall rating: Grand(67) – Competitive

Stable comments: – “The lightly raced Jack Hammer is Invicta Racing’s best developed homebred horse. Only one defeat in eight came at the hands or hoofs of another finalist Bahamas in a Breeders 4yo Sprint heat over 900m on good ground. A change of jockey for the final, with the more experienced Milo Sinon taking the reins means that Invicta Racing is hoping for a top 3 finish.

7. Kinkladze

5yo stallion from RCS Locos, Career earnings: $953,299
Overall rating: Admirable(59) – Fast finisher

Stable comments: – “Kinkladze but he picked up an injury in the heat but hopefully he will still make the final but wont be as fit as I would have liked. Conditions look to suit Hilikus Redskin but I fancy Bahamas for this one.”

8. Walcott

5yo stallion from Spalrom, Career earnings: $1,015,762
Overall rating: Average(29) – Mud-lark

Stable comments: – “All I can say is that I hope my horse Walcott will be finished before the next race starts. Anything better than last would be a miracle.”

9. Dante’s Anger

5yo mare from rafindale, Career earnings: $1,729,200
Overall rating: Grand(66) – Competitive

Stable comments: – “

10. Peppercorn Minger

5yo mare from RUMP STEAK RACING, Career earnings: $1,174,780

Stable comments: – “Pepper’s trained to the minute and will be closing fast.Very tough race with a few chances and I’m just hoping PEPPER can compete with them.”
