4yo Breeders’ Cup Sprint
The tussle for supremacy on this group of sprinters has been an interesting one and we get another opportunity to see them strutting their stuff.
DR Stables travels with the top-class Skyguard Resident. With impeccable and genuine form, this mare is well deserving of a big win for one of the good guys in the game.
The son of Kingsman, Working Class Hero ran an excellent second in the heat when just failing to get to Skyguard Resident in his last run. With this run under the belt he must have a chance on his best form.
Nowa Bush Missy was a impressive winner of her heat on Saturday and this weekend could be her big day.
Addictive Racing, in fact, enjoys an embarrassment of riches with his runner, Addie Over Sofa. The winner of three sprint age cups already will be put to the test in this race. She has plenty in her favour and be expect another top run from her.
Heidy Eilderts takes the controls on the Westbury Lodge runner Gowser Magnetic, who gets thrown in the deep end.
Love And Theft, Funova and Ballerina are all progressive types, and their stables are always a threat in the sprint features.

Having said that this is Nowa‘s best chance to date, ran well in the heat, hopefully can fully recover and repeat next week. Definitely an open race with Manor Park, DR, Crowsrock and ghanainternational all entering runners here. If the track happens to run slow Skyguard Resident is the one to chase.”

Addictive Racing – “Should be a nice race this one with some high quality horses running. AO Sofa has been excellent in her short career so far going 3 from 3 in cups. Had a nice warm up in the heat, jock only had reasonable morale and distance will suit better here in the final. Expecting to win here but Manor always tough, Regal has Nowa running well and can never discount Inca.”
Mount Olympus Stable – “Sorry no comment is my comment.”
Manor Park Stud – “Looking at the weather it looks like a 50/50 chance of either dead or slow ground for the final. If slow Inca’s mudlark will the clear favourite for the final. Dead ground and it brings a few into this, I expect we’ll all be chasing Crows Addie Over Sofa as she’s been the standout sprinter of this group up to now. Regal Rollers early sprinter put in a strong showing in the heat, if that’s replicated in the final we could all be chasing left in his tracks. My own chances will depend on have I done enough to sort out the stats, they’re close to where I’d want them now balance wise but might have been better with another week or twos training. DR Stables – “Skyguard Resident will be giving up a lot of sprint experience in this race, which puts her in a tough position. She’s a gutsy mare, but she has to be since her trainer puts her in races that she don’t belong in. Finishing 4th or 5th is possible.”
