BODRUMLUCK – “If Secret Sentinel‘s previous records is anything to go by, this should be an easy race for us. Of course it doesn’t work like that. First five from the final of the Jewel are all here, with a chance. I have had the Sentinel for only about six weeks so I won’t be claiming much success even if we win.”
Karaka Breeders – “Was thinking I had a top 5 chance, but the wide gate will make it harder now. Will have to rely on staying within the leading bunch of horses early without being too wide losing ground around the first bend. Good luck all.”
Frankel Farm – “This looks like a highly competitive renewal. There seems to be very little between the contestants. Northern Lights and Secret Sentinel would be my tentative picks but it really could be anyone’s race. As for Sigma Squared, he scored a nice win in his heat run and looks in good shape for this one. A top 3 finish would be nice.”
United – “Wow, this one is pretty wide open. I think Sigma Squared is the one to beat and has a withering finish so will come home flying late…Could be a blanket finish with Big Poppa and a few others so would be happy if my Gav finished in the top 3. My RI’s need to be spot on to snag it.”
Priceless Speedsters – “We are always ready to run against Poppa peers. The ground is not in our favor but hopefully the style kicks in since we should fall behind. With Sentinel and Gav with new owners they may lack chemistry and we sneak into the top 3, good luck to all and this should be a toss up since no one has stood out as the superior horse class to date.”
