The lightly raced Captain’s Secret returned to race action on Saturday after a weeks break. She has run in high-class fields and bumps similar here. Well drawn, one feels that Rebecka Decoster may have an ace up his sleeve with the daughter of Secret Aurora. The Dirty Deal mare Jesse from the inform ghanainternational stable has won 1 of her 7 starts and showed up well in this type of company. She warrants plenty of respect, especially with the wet weather on its way.
The Burgersfortheboyz mare Big Bad Authority is knocking hard for her first cup success and her three most recent runs suggest she has lost none of her enthusiasm for racing. She loves this surface and won her last start in a canter. She has drawn at 3, has class and good ability. Valasca Twelve stayed on well for a decent fifth with the apprentice up in her last start, and if clicking from the four draw with regular pilot up, could be a big runner.
Spuraholics’s beautifully bred Breeders Cup winner Time Soprano recent form is solid and he has the ability to crash this party if he decides to run. His stablemate, Tonal Aglaea has fair form, and will need to be at her very best to feature.

Pre-race comments from:
St Simon Racing – “Things didn’t go as planned in the heat, as jockey decided to run the horse into the ground. One eye will be kept on the weather, if it turn slow, we running for place money against Jesse (Peace brother)
Burgersfortheboyz – “Our mare is very consistent and has finished on the Podium in two world cups. However her work will be cut out as she will face Captain’s Secret which has actually lifted two world cups. Chaotic Neutral and Spuraholics also have a WC to their name so it would not surprise if an exciting photo finish is in store for us.”
ghanainternational – “Jesse hasn’t done anything to date and has to improve on past showings to have any chance. The conditions look favorable with the forecast rain so she has a small chance of wining. Several horse’s come into the race with good form Captain’s Secret, Valasca Twelve, Big Bad Authority and Time Soprano. The forecast rain will help Time Soprano, however, it is still a pretty open race. May the best horse win.”
Chaotic Neutral – “My pony, Valasca Twelve, will do what she does best. Be unpredictable. 🙂 A top 3 would be awesome, but even that is a hopeful stretch. As for the favorite; it has to be Captain’s Secret. But if the track gets wet enough – and the weather seems willing to help – Time Soprano or Jesse might just get to the wire first.”
Spuraholics – “Captain’s Secret & BBA seem to be the best chances in this one. Of my pair Time Soprano looks to be my best hope but conditions don’t really suit. Will try something different with Jockey instructions to try to make a difference. So it may be a placing or somewhere way down the track! Hoping for a good run from Tonal Aglaea as she really was only an afterthought entry but think she will have a lot of upside in later seasons. Good luck all.”
