Winner: – Chaotic Neutral – “I’m over the moon with Valasca Twelve‘s win! It’s my stable’s first world cup and she pinched it on her second runaround ever. And on slow turf vs two top muddies, to boot! I guess the slow pace of the race helped and both Libra Starz and Time Soprano, my two favorites for the race in these conditions, have shown considerably better speeds previously. Maybe they ran too hard in the qualifier. I’ll gladly take it, of course. 🙂 .”

Others: – Yorulmaz – “It could’ve better for us if the track was dead instead of slow. I am happy with the performance.”

Others: – Slo Mo Stables – “Man I thought I had it by a nose. Horse ran well. I thought I had a little more speed than that though. I was wishing for 3rd.

Others: – Spuraholics – “Very Happy with my boy as l was hoping for top 5 with the horses involved. l need to do a bit more with him to stop giving too much of a start away. Hats off to Valasca Twelve who snuck up on everyone after l thought it was going to be gimme for Libra Starz who was still a great run. Love these age races ..well done all.”

Post race comments from:

Winner: – TiltaWhirl – “Stats are bit upside down for a long horse so knew he’d likely get out front, wasn’t sure he’d hold on at the end, especially losing the slow track. Tweaked instructions a bit off heat and it was luckily enough.”

Others: – Riddley Walker Racin – “Not good enough.”

Post race comments from:

Winner: – St Simon Racing – “After the impressive heat from Moonlight Special I had to re-think my race instructions. Really happy with the outcome against this top class field. Anyone of 5-6-7 horses could have won the race on the day. Special thanks to the sponsors of the series, but please can we do something about the stakes.”

Others: – DR Stables – “Village Idiot ran decent on the dead track and finished where I thought he would. Finishing 4th in this quality field is nothing too be disappointed about. Congrats to St. Simon’s Racing and Captain’s Quest. That was a very impressive race.”

Others: – Bristol Turks – “Was hoping for a wetter few days to keep the going slow but wasn’t to be. Black Sabbath did ok, but even a better run from him would not have been enough to catch Captain’s Quest I think.

Others: – Moonlight Stables – “Guess there won’t be any dancing under the moonlight this weekend. Moonlight Special ran a decent race, but it just wasn’t enough on this day. Congrats to the winner.”

Others: – RCS Locos – “Ultrasonic ran well but was beaten by a better horse on the day. The expectations are there now so looking forward to the battles ahead. Congrats to captaincrusoe with Captain’s Quest.

Post race comments from:

Others: – Polenov – “I am really happy with finishing second, as I have slightly worse jockey than most of the field. I hope Forza will be able to maintain the form, and I will not ruin her training programme.”

Others: – Bristol Turks – “Well that was interesting. I almost scratched the horse today as the going been slow for a couple of days. I was worried about potentially injuring her but she came through ok. 2yo ES, finishing in Top3 in slow going is a good start. And also qualified for Slipper final – not a bad day.”

Others: – Orange Hills – “Very happy with Badlands Ryans race. Very exciting and tightly bunched race.”

Winner: – St Simon Racing – “Wow, didn’t expected this. Really thought I was running for place money. I can’t remember when last siblings, same age, won two cups on the same day.”

Others: – avitblues – “Ran good race, unfortunately didn’t have the stamina to last home which I though would happen.”

Others: – Riddley Walker Racin – “Proof positive I cannot train mediums. Probably got instructions wrong as wasn’t able to use style plus got injured winner too good.”

Others: – Mane Equestrian – “A place cheque is always nice but I could have had better race instructions.”

Post race comments from:

Winner: – Rawhide – “Absolutely unbelievable…. No idea how that happened.”

Others: – Racing Stripes– “I am pleased with the run on unfavourable ground.”

Others: – Tinkle Top Stables – “Overall, for the stable’s first World Cup attempt, I was very pleased with the Top 5 finish. Moonshot had me on the edge of my seat for awhile thinking we might just get a Top 3, but he was outrun in the stretch by some great competitors. Still, his future looks bright. He continues to improve each time out and surprised me with the vast improvement he showed over his last run in similar conditions. Think the stable may have a gamer.”

Others: – TiltaWhirl – “Wish I had something insightful to say, but don’t. Horse confounds me. Happy and a bit surprised it got up against tough field.”

Post race comments from:

Winner: – Force – “I’m really happy to win my first world cup with Wild Princess. She’s a foal from Kingsman, so I did have high hopes for her. Hopefully she can back it up in the Sires Produce final.”

Others: – lisabarn – “As a new stable it’s not easy, so I was very happy to see my own horse ran so well specially last time when he won the semi’s. I was hopeful for the final to finish in the first 3 but we only managed to finish 5th so I was a little bit disappointed specially when you see the horse we beat in the semi’s was second in the final. But take nothing away from the performance and we be back next year with a better 2 y old.”

Others: – Snohomish Silence – “When the track changed from slow to dead, I no longer thought Wild Princess would run away from the field. As expected, she had a nice lead at the halfway mark when From Hatton Zokrar began its noble charge only to come up a little short. My colt, Breed Troy Berry, finally found his stride in the last fourth clocking the fastest quarter in the entire race, but there was too much to overcome as he finished fairly isolated in third. I enjoyed the race, especially since it was my first Breeder’s horse.”
