The 4yo Sprint Breeder Cup -13th May 2017

4yo Breeders’ Cup Sprint

Addictive Racing’s Amethyst winner Addie Over Ped looks a progressive son of Addie Over Dan and he finished like an express train last time. The Melins mare and Ascot Vale winner, Flights is very effective over the course and distance and can be expected to up his game. Both Touched By Ice and Concerto Sycamore has shown good form in their recent starts and is worth considering. Riddley’s Madrid is in good form, and looks a serious speed horse with plenty of potential. Math Comfort and Moonshot’s last runs suggests that they shouldn’t be discounted.

Pre-race comments from:

Rawhide – “Ran a surprisingly good heat in un-favourable track conditions. With things drying out a bit this week might just be in with a chance at a place. But I fancy Flights to run away with the win!”

Whispering Death – “She seems well prepared and ready for this one. Must have a real chance of winning – but between the trainer, jockey and owner they’re sure to mess something up. Last week before the heat the poor horse was accidentally given an epic training track session in slow conditions – so the stable as previous when it comes to sabotaging their own chances!”

Gray Dog Stables – “Math Comfort was absolutely cruising in her prelim and looked to have it in the bag until the jockey eased as she completely ran out of gas. Hopefully she can last this time and bring home some hardware.”

Racing Stripes – “Concerto Sycamore did not run as I had hoped but will better suited to the drier ground next week.”

djs stable – “Other runners have better chances than mine, will be lucky not to finish last.”

Tinkle Top Stables – “Moonshot‘s best days are ahead of him. Same for the stable. This entry was our first World Cup entry and was mostly about gaining experience. We’re running against some great horses. I’d be happy with a top 5 finish and/or to learn something for the future, but who knows, fairy tales still happen. Just have to watch and see what happens I guess.”

GM – Riddley – “Good chance if track wet but appears unlikely. Has great gate speed but place only at the very best.”

Addictive Racing – “Nice run from Ped in the heats, took it very easy and still run a good time. Track will play apart in this one, if it goes dead Ped shouldn’t lose, if it stays slow it brings the muddies into it but even then I will still be confident of a win.
