The son of Secret Aurora, Secret Legacy gets the services of top jock Pierre Strydom and looks fit and ready to add to his trophy cabinet, he however has to beat his nemesis in the last two cups namely Red’s Haku. He enjoys the best of the draws here and gets another chance to redeem himself. Red’s Haku is the class horse in the race. Jody Schulenberg jumps aboard the champion mare of Reds Breeding Stud, and she has plenty in her favour.
Polenov’s yard has come to form recently and they saddle the daughter of Cap’n Stepford, Ordon Nagini Liter. While quite decent on her day, with some forward showings, she is well held by a few and looks to have place hopes at best. Gold Coast Stables bay stallion, Brave Warrior won three in a row before the heat on Sunday, but takes a step up in class and may struggle in these conditions.
Smart Big has not won yet but has produced enough forward form to rate him a good place chance. The daughter of Wildfire, Pooties was a good third in her last cup appearance, she is a mare on the up and looks to be good value. She has done little wrong and her form profile shows she does not know how to run a bad race. Orange Hills’ Rosy Teddy Rojo is a consistent daughter of Calloway Chloe, and must have something of an outside place chance at best.
