The Track King Open – 17th December 2016 – London Bridge Racecourse

The Track King Open

A quality 2500m staying contest heads a well patronised London Bridge Racecourse twelve-race programme today. In a race where fitness clouds one of the runners, Secret Trojan, Reds Tokyo Ghoul, Champagne Wishes and Addie Over Dan look the ones to fight it out. Barking Assembly is one we shouldn’t ignore, while Cronus will be off like a dirty shirt when the gates are sprung and he will be aiming to go all the way.

Born:Sun 5th Oct 2014, bred by StaldPedersen
Recent form:1,1,2,1,2

Stable comments: – “If Trojan can reproduce her Masters run she’ll be right there are the business end. I feel that Reds Tokyo Ghoul, Champagne Wishes and Addie Over Dan are the major runners in the race. Cronus would have been tough if not for injury in the heat.”

2. Reds Tokyo Ghoul

Stable comments: – “Ghoul has gone through some major changes since I came back to the game and he is finally looking something like a race horse! His semi final run raised a few eyebrows and I feel threw his name into the mix as a challenger. It’ll be tough to take down the Masters winner in Secret Revolutions Trojan however”.

Stable comments: – “Wishes had a bit of a tough run in the Masters this season after a trying fall campaign. Looking to run a much better race this time clear of any IP and well rested unlike his last 2 races. Hoping to dethrone this seasons Masters winner, Secret Trojan.”

Born:Fri 2nd Jan 2015, bred by Dan Park
Lineage:By Dans Inda Dark out of Prancess
Recent form:4,1,1,2,2

Stable comments: – “Shaping up to be a very nice race this one. Dan has been in some good form coming off two 2nds in cup finals with one being against Trojan in the Masters, in the that race Dan got stuck out wide and lost time on the corners so will be hoping to get on the rail nice and early here. High hopes for this race but Trojan, Champagne and Red all strong contenders. Cronus with the injury will struggle I think.”

6. King’s Poppycock

10yo stallion from Heureka Stables, Career earnings: $5,401,256

Stable comments: – “Thanks for the good luck wishes. For sure looks like a competitive cup and from my point of view I am happy to have reached the final and still have my best horse fresh in the final. But of course looking at the competition I have to satisfied if I get some money back home, but of course once in the box we go there to winSmiley.”

7. Cronus

10yo stallion from Yorulmaz, Career earnings: $7,080,805
Overall rating: Majestic(80) – Natural champion
Born:Sun 5th Oct 2014, bred by Reds Breeding Stud
Lineage:By Reds Dragoon out of Spin Taste
Recent form:1,2,2,1,6

Stable comments: – “Cronus have been recently purchased for the final. If the vets work fine and make the horse ready for the final we could win. We want the third TK trophy this time.”

8. Barking Assembly

10yo stallion from swindin, Career earnings: $3,520,113
Overall rating: Marvelous(76) – Natural champion
Born:Fri 10th Oct 2014, bred by woodchuckers
Lineage:By Repeated Beauty out of Corona Star
Recent form:2,1,1,1,3

Stable comments: – “Barking Assembly—Scottish Grand National winner 2 starts ago . Honest performer who can sometimes be tardy to begin. Probably lacks the brilliance to win here but will give his all trying…”
