Can anything stop the Manor Park Stud runner?
After the Aussie Clothing Down Under Epic blow-out last season, there may be some shrewdies trying to beat Manor Park Stud’s star galloper Patrobas in the twenty seventh running of the Platinum Plate at Sydney Harbour Racecourse today. The Track King legend can make amends this time round as his highly rated Patrobas pulled a great draw of #1 and looks to have only two or three to beat. Patrobas was super impressive in the heats, and I am sure my good friend Manor Park will be looking to open the taps today.
Woodchuckers entered Karaka Starz in the race, and he will be looking to pop another surprise. The trainer likes a good scrap, but it will require a big run to upset Patrobas here. Big Bad Kamikaze is a staying type who could be very effective over this trip. He has Judith Eakes up, and he caught the eye in no uncertain terms over 1900m in the heat last Saturday. He is in excellent form and looks the biggest threat to Patrobas.
Patrobas should have it in the bag on known form.
