Good Grief – It’s Tough Today
Lump Of Ice has a point to prove when he lines up in the 4 year old Long Breeder Cup over 2200m at Great Himalayan Racecourse on Saturday, a race that has attracted some cracking horses. He finished strongly in the heat over slow ground and might be suited by the extra two furlongs. He ran a very good third behind Madam Secretary in The So You Think last season over dead ground and 2050 meters.
Nyquist has earned a cheque in last four starts, and was victorious in The Lowe Guineas over 1800m three weeks ago. The son of Blitzen is obviously top class but he may be hard pressed here, as he has a lot to do at the ratings. Big Bad Mack Truck is a very smart sort. He might rise to the occasion here, I would expect him to be in the top three.
Bloodborne has talent and she can’t be written off from a good draw. The 4 year old mare It Lemmy proved in The So You Think she has it in her to be competitive in a race like this. Sepia, Absolutely Square and Andre The Giant all have scope for improvement.
