Woogle Wood and Ethyl Evertz have proven their consistent high win strike-rate over the past few months and the combination team up with Grand Prix Stakes winner New Terrain, a classy and maturing son of Chippy European. The three year old won a good race at his last start when showing guts and courage and he looks the class act in a field lacking depth. The Seahorse Racing-bred filly Raspberry Ripple is lightly raced and has scope for improvement. Hunters Godlike is a progressive looking young stayer in the making, and must have a definite shout.
Both Powder and Tanker Jumper looks like interesting runners, who looks eminently suited to this type of race if they adapt to the ground. A case can also be made for Stage Puppy if he stays.
