After a few failed attempts at Long distance age restricted cups, I was delighted to get the right conditions and, ultimately, the win! He looked good for the title when I analyzed the heats and, despite the enforced switch in jockey from the heats, he delivered as I hoped! I must mention Dante’s Susan of Rafindale who really pushed all the way home – the pair of them really shone through (as I expected) as the class in the field! This is my first homegrown WC winning horse, so I am more thrilled with this victory than my maiden WC victory with Fog Wiper.”

When he show up on the BIG stage, you can definitely see who is in charge.
When I see incredible horses on TK, I like to sometimes compare them to real life horses. I once told Manor Park that his Hall of Fame horses Novus Propinquo was TK’s Secretariat and Tripp Leilani was TK’s Zenyatta. When I look at Relaunch, I see the Man O’ War of TK.”

Comments from the stable: – “Sometimes things happen. You don’t know what. You don’t know how, and then you win. In the Emerald Shoe, Barbie Ferrari faced a serious OR disadvantage, but distance and track XP proved an asset. Short cups have nearly always been held over slow for this age group. Today over good most of the usual fast mudlarks stayed home. Still, Barbie was unstyled in a field of faster styled horses. I think training for slow benefited her to pull a fluke upset in this race. She is quite over weighted in stamina for this distance. When I saw her get the lead at the 5/8ths I was hoping that everyone else held just a little too long. She maintained speed with enough of a lead in the stretch to win the cup. This is our first ever world cup and a glorious end to Barbie’s training career. From here on she will be held to U60 and settle into the local cup circuit.”
