Saturday heralds the beginning of a new season of hopefully top class cup racing. While the game continues to be plagued by a disturbing lack of field subscription, it is heartening to see 15 runners line up to contest the $1,900,000 Ascot Vale Cup. This is the one of the feature events on the card and DR Stables holds a powerful hand as he looks to start the season with a pop of the champagne corks. Two top horses who fought out the Golden Slipper a month ago, clash head on at Sydney Harbour Racecourse on Saturday. Will the draw and change of jockey make a difference and afford Hay List an opportunity to turn the tables on Angel From Hell?
