Season 34, and we see the 3yo young guns over medium step out for the second cup of the season, a quick back up from the The Australian Spring Guineas that was only just run a few weeks ago.
Stand out on the day was Ajax the 3yo colt on dead ground, here the track will be even more suitable, so clearly one to watch with a top 5 from the Guineas in particular is Secret Pharoah, a WR is what it may take to score the 3yo Breeders in season 34.
So lets look more in depth at each breeders runner and uncover who is a contender and who is not along the way we might even uncover a hidden gem or 2 yet to strike a blow that could cause an upset and bring home a piece of glory .

| Alvin Crackers says : | – Secret Pharaoh was a late foal so been on catch up ever since yet this has not stopped the in form trainer from throwing this colt into the cups and to date had better than fair results, including a fine 3rd in the Australian Guineas. To back up that fine effort, Secret Pharaoh has now followed with the 3rd best ever time for 1550m in the heat. Given the recent run of cups, one can expect this colt to be no different and be right in the finish. | |

| Alvin Crackers says : | – Nealan From Speed Breed multiple cup winning stable and with Nealan showed some good form early as a 2yo with a 3rd in the 2yo Champagne final. Now it seems the trainer skipped the Australian Guineas to have a tilt in this seasons 3yo Breeders .
To be fair only a heat, was not very impressive at all, but nor was Ajax in the Guineas heats so a poor run hardly means the end but one feels Nealan will need to improve out of sight to contend . |

Now granted not a lot of form to go on a small regional win and now a 2nd in his heat but how impressive was the finish in the heat thundering home in slick time. One can’t knock the form, it’s good, but it will be the fillie’s biggest test to date in this final over much further a distance than faced before. | Alvin Crackers says: | – Pugstable a top breeder who recently broke the ice with this very filly to win the 2yo Champagne Stakes – Pugstable’s very first cup that now may springboard the stable to bigger and better things not only Never Nothing but others.
Now Never Nothing since the Champagne scored a good win in the heat of the Australian Spring Guineas, then a solid 4th in the final. Seems with the short break from the Guineas the trainer has just eased his filly into the final and may fire up for the final and be in the mix certainly among the major players given recent form. |

| Alvin Crackers says: | – Sparrow Fart been struggling up until the heat and all of a sudden the trainer found the go button by dropping in distance from long to medium. This horse certainly showed plenty and given the staying potential should find the extra 250m of the final no problem .
Based on the impressive heat, the extra ground, certainly a top 5 for this filly out of the dual magic mile winner Comforting Sounds is on the cards one to consider in multi’s for sure. |

| Alvin Crackers says: | – Smoken, 7 Starts for 3 wins and last weeks heat over the 1500m so has some talent. What she lacks in OR she makes up for it in heart, certainly the 1800m and the lack of experience will make this a huge test for the filly .
Expect this wee filly to plug away and give all she got to the cause and beat home many that may appear more fancied. |
