Winner: – Troublemaker’s – “I’m very happy with the run, Whispers was entered in this race as a test run, and the result proves he is a strong horse, there is still a long way to go, future looks promising.”

Others: – Rawhide – “Very pleased with second place considering shortly before the race I realised I’d forgotten to set race instructions! Now I can’t help wondering what would have happened if they had been set – could a win have been on the cards? Or more likely a finish outside of the top 5!”

Others: – Windy Hill – ” Looks like a small miracle did happen. I’m pretty chuffed to finish 5th in such a top class field, in a race that didn’t really suit my runner.”

Others: – Woogle Wood – “A nice run all in all, but it’s back to epics for Thistledown. The jock was a tad too aggressive in the first half of the race, perhaps costing the horse one or two places, but the winner was properly good. Well done to Troublemaker.”

Winner: – Happy Skipper Stable – “Pharoah Hanover ran the race I had hoped she would turn in. This tall filly made her presence known on the track today and she is now well on her way to making her dam proud.”

Others: – Polenov – “I am really happy with placing. Despite being amongst the outsiders, Forza was able to beat some really good horses and I hope I will not mess it up with her and that she will become a cup winner one day. She was simply beaten by better horses and better trainers today, so congratulation to them.”

Others: – Burgersfortheboyz – “Our filly ran right up to her full potential. A silver medal was as good as we could have hoped for. The winner Pharoah Hanover was so dominant and is the class horse of her age in the sprinting department. Its going to be very hard to make up the ground on her as she is clearly 4-5 lengths better than anything in her age group at present.”

Winner: – Dixon Racing – “Very happy with Dynasty’s improvement from the prelude to final. It took everything she had to get past a very good looking Willo Blitz late and I can see some great tussles between this group in seasons to come.”

Others: – DR Stables – “It’s what I was afraid of, getting caught late stretch. Willo Blitz raced well, the problem is Secret Dynasty raced better. Congrats to Pedantic32 and Secret Dynasty.”

Others: – Force – “Congratulations to Secret Dynasty and Dixion Racing on their win. I’m happy with a 3rd placing and hopefully next time Wild Princess will be a bit closer to the winners.”

Others: – BODRUMLUCK – “As I suspected Denan did not enjoy the conditions at all. She doesn’t like aggressive handling and excessive mud, she is far too classier than she has shown in this race. We will see the best of her further in her career. Well done to Secret Dynasty and Pedantic.

Others: – Speed Breed – “Gabriel Mollyman finished exactly where I thought she might, but we were hoping that she would overachieve but it wasn’t meant to be. Congrats to Secret Dynasty from Dixon Racing stable, she kicked butt!”

Others: – Pugstable – “1. Do Not read mail until after you watch your races! 2. I had 3 holds in the race but you wouldn’t know it, analyzing the race. The aggressive jockey on a young first starter over-raced. We got to the front to early late in the 3rd quarter and ran out of steam and got swamped in the last furlong. Possibly could have had this one with a different jockey and race instructions. Maybe a different trainer. 3. Congrats to Gary of RCS on another world cup – well done mate. There is always next time  🙂 “

Others: – Desert Wind Stable – “The 2yo races are always fun to watch as rarely is there a clear favourite. Noble Egyptian had me worried in the middle section but came home strong. Possibly better race instructions would have earnt the extra oomph to get over the line ahead of Dansattak but the fast finisher paired with Frankie Rodier looked too powerful, so hoping it wasn’t my fault.”

Others: – Frankel Farm – “Could not be happier with Sigma Squared‘s run. Even thought we had it at one point, but it was not meant to be. Nevertheless, that was a very encouraging run for the future. Congrats to the winning connections.”

Others: – BluBajan Stables – “I had an invite to the Grand Prix Finale but as that was over 2000m I wasn’t sure Blue Maverti would of lasted the distance though he won the Grand Prix Prelude at the slightly shorter distance of 1900m slowing in the last quarter and just making it home. The strength or his race tends to be the 2nd quarter so I opted to go for the Champagne States instead which was over the shorter distance of 1600m hoping his 2nd quarter speed would get him to the front and hopefully finish in the first 3. Was watching the ground all week hoping it would hit good by Friday but it stayed dead so I knew he would have a tougher race so I have to say I was quite happy with the 5th place.”

Winner: – St Simon Racing“Really pleased with the win, after the Breeders Cup, he picked up an injury, so I couldn’t do much work with him. The race itself was very close and and it could have gone to any of five or six stables. Special thanks to the sponsors of these races, really appreciate it.”

Winner: – Dixon Racing – “An incredibly special performance by Agenda in this race beating the older, more seasoned stayers – the most exciting thing is the future for this young champion – it seemed some under-estimated her ability and paid the price. We look forward to her 8yo campaign.
